UPDATE RETURNS

I’m glad to be back working after falling and breaking my ankle on my way into the Mayor’s Proud Partner luncheon on November 17. I’ve had surgery to put hardware on two of the three broken places, and according to my doctor, am healing well. I won’t be able to put any weight on the leg until at least the end of January.

If something like that is going to happen, it’s nice to be among friends. Thanks to Jim Green, Debbie Allen, Annise Parker, and Cecilia Dykes for summonsing help and keeping me comforted until the ambulance took me off to Ben Taub. Everyone took very good care of me.
