FUNDING FOR SUMMER INTERNS

With the administrative assistance of Volunteer Houston, ExxonMobil will provide $2,500 grants to approximately 65 local nonprofit agencies to enable the agencies to hire summer college interns to assist in providing essential services to the community. Students are introduced to a variety of nonprofit organizations in the hope that they will consider careers or volunteer leadership positions in the nonprofit sector. There will be an information session that will present the program guidelines and requirements, and will give instruction on how to fill out the application for an agency to participate. The information session will be held from 8:30 a.m.-11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 21, 2008 at the United Way Building, 55 Waugh Drive.
