LAST CALL FOR SYNERGY AWARD NOMINATIONS

Do you know an individual, organization, project, or company that has an environmental achievement to brag about? Tell us!CEC makes Synergy Awards every year in the categories of: conservation, community activism, corporate awareness, environmental education, media, government, youth, sustainable planning, and lifetime achievement. Any member of the public may make a nomination for a Synergy Award. It’s easy – send a note with the name and contact information of your nominee and a short description of the project or activity you think we should celebrate to . Let us know how to reach you too! Self-nominations are encouraged. The nominee should be in the greater Houston/Galveston region and the deadline is September 2.

Awards will be presented at a luncheon at the Houston Racquet Club, 10709 Memorial Drive, on Thursday, October 23. Houston’s city controller, Annise Parker, a 20-year member of the Sierra Club and advisory board member of The Houston Zoo and Trees for Houston, is the honorary chair for this event.
