TWO WORKSHOPS ON URBAN GROWTH MANAGEMENT NEXT WEEK

The Galveston Bay Estuary Program is presenting a workshop on urban growth management for the Dickinson Bayou watershed on Tuesday, August 5 and on Thursday, August 7. The discussion will cover quality of life and the environment, habitat of the watershed, stormwater treatment issues and solution options, stormwater wetlands, WaterSmart landscaping, and the Dickinson Bayou watershed. The Tuesday program will be from 6 to 8:30 pm at Dickinson Historic Railroad Center, 218 FM 517 West, Dickinson. Thursday’s program will be from noon to 3 pm at Johnnie Arolfo Civic Center, 400 West Walker St., League City. There is a fee of $10, which includes a meal. RSVP to cyork@tamu.edu.
