CHANNEL 2 LAUNCHES “GOING GREEN / ENVIROCAST”

On Tuesday, June 17, KPRC TV introduced its new “Going Green/Envirocast” project to local viewers. It is a multi-media platform using KPRC Local 2 and Click2Houston.com to educate and inform viewers about how our quality of life and the environment are inextricably linked. The project includes environmental news stories on Channel 2 weather broadcasts and a companion web site that focuses on the science behind the stories. Storm Center Communications, Inc creates and maintains that site.Citizens’ Environmental Coalition and several of our member groups, Houston Galveston Area Council, Galveston Bay Estuary Program, and Bayou Preservation Association have representatives on the steering committee for this project.
