MTV CALLS FOR STORIES FROM GULF COAST YOUTH

A producer for MTV’s long-running series True Life sent us this notice and asked us to spread the word:”Are you a young person who calls the Gulf Coast home? MTV’s True Life is looking for young people living in Bayou communities who are interested in sharing the story of their unique way of life.

Does being part of the Bayou community impact your daily life? Does your daily life largely rely on the resources of the land? Are you a young person struggling to reclaim the life you lived pre-Hurricane Katrina? Or are you a scientist/researcher fighting to preserve the bayou and it’s culture?

If you appear to be between the ages of 16 and 28, and want to share the story of your Creole heritage and/or experience, email us at Bayou@mtvn.com with all of the details. Be sure to include your name, location, phone number and a photo, if possible.
