PANEL ON CLEAN WATER RESTORATION ACT FRIDAY

The League of Women Voters spotlights the Clean Water Restoration Act at its Friday, March 14th meeting, which is co-sponsored by the Houston Sierra Club and the Bayou Preservation Association. Jim Lester and Lisa Gonzales, of Houston Advanced Research Center; Sam Brody, of Texas A&M University; and Evelyn Merz, of the League of Women Voters and Houston Sierra Club, will be on a panel to discuss issues of water quality, wetlands, politics, and why the Clean Water Restoration Act is needed. The meeting will be at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 5501 Main Street. The program will begin at noon and end at 1:30 pm. To order a box lunch for $10, call (713)784-2923 before March 8th.
