SUPPORT CEC WITH A YEAR-END CONTRIBUTION

As the holidays approach, I’d like to thank you for all of your support during the last year! Your feedback and financial contributions from CEC members and readers just like you have allowed CEC to grow and to continue to foster its mission: promoting collaboration and dialogue, facilitating communication, providing capacity-building support, coordinating and assisting with outreach, and providing accurate and reliable information about the environment to our community.

You know how useful the Update is, but did you know that it now has nearly 9,500 subscribers! And earlier this month, we received word that the Park People has honored our work with its annual media award!

In addition to this Update, we publish a free Environmental Resource Guide every year, host Leadership Luncheons to help environmental organizations learn how to work more effectively, co-sponsor a variety of lectures and events with our member groups, and promote awareness of the exciting work in our green community through our Synergy Awards.

To be able to offer these programs, we must be sure that the Citizens’ Environmental Coalition is financially sound.

You can contribute to the strength of the organization with your generous gift of $35, $50, or even $500. As a member of the Citizens’ Environmental Coalition, you will receive the most current Environmental Resource Guide. So, make a contribution to support Citizens’ Environmental Coalition today through Network for Good. Be sure to include your mailing address so that we can send you this year’s resource guide.

Additionally, many local employers, such as the city of Houston, the state of Texas, the Port of Houston, Hewlett Packard and the federal government, allow payroll deductions through Earth Share of Texas. Check your workplace giving materials. Your contribution each per pay period, however big or small, supports the work of several environmental groups and also lets your employer know you care about the environment.
