CANDIDATE FORUMS
Houston Sierra Club and Citizens’ Environmental Coalition are hosting a candidates’ forum on the future of Houston’s environment on Friday, October 19 at 7 pm in the first floor meeting room at 3015 Richmond. Candidates for City of Houston offices will be given questions about air quality, parks, transportation and recycling in advance and be asked to speak for three minutes about those questions. There will also be information about the various state, county and HISD bond proposals. Join us to hear how the candidates for mayor and city council answer key questions about Houston’s environmental future. The event is free. All city candidates are invited to participate. Miya Shay will moderate a discussion of the question, “What is your position on a general plan for the City of Houston.
