The CEC staff and board thank Chris Bell for his talk about working with elected officials at yesterday’s Leadership Luncheon. Bell, a former member of Congress and at-large member of Houston City Council, presented a practical, honest, and entertaining discussion of the topic. Bell is now of counsel at Patton Boggs LLP, where he works with clients on a wide range of public policy and lobbying issues, and administrative and regulatory matters.We have two more terrific speakers lined up for the Leadership Luncheon on Tuesday, October 23. The topic will be “Funding Organizational Development.” Judy Hatcher of the Environmental Support Center in Washington and Ronnie Haggerty of the United Way will be part of the panel. The event will be at 3015 Richmond, from 11:30 am to 1 pm. The fee is $15 and includes lunch. RSVP to Ella Tyler at ella@cechouston.org.
