TEXAS PARKS FUNDING GURU SPEAKS MONDAY

The Houston Outdoor Club’s Ornithology Group meeting on Monday, September 10 will feature George L. Bristol. As founder and President/Executive Director of the Texas Coalition for Conservation, he was one of the one of the leading advocates and educators for substantial and sustainable funding for parkland. He has more than 35 years of experience in business as an executive, officer and board member and as a political organizer, fund-raiser and lobbyist, and conservation has played a significant part of that experience. He is also an award-winning photographer and poet, often using nature as the subject of his work. The program will begin at 7 pm at Bayland Community Center, 6400 Bissonnet.
