OPENINGS AT STUDENT CONSERVATION ASSOCATION
The Student Conservation Association is seeking a program manager in its Houston field office. The job involves planning and implementing the components of SCA year round high school programming in Houston, summer programming in Dallas, and support of national high school programs in the Gulf Region. Position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Education/Youth Development or related field, 3-5 years of program management experience working with youth, outdoor education or service programs, experience with hiring and supervising staff, a valid driver’s license, ability to travel and a demonstrated ability to work independently. Proficiency in a second language is highly desirable. The SCA is also looking for leaders for its Conservation Leadership Corps Crews. This job involves working with urban students in local parks during the school year. Crews run for about 5 months (starting in December/January) and crews typically meet one weekend a month and one evening a month. Crew Leader pay is about $200-$275/month for five months. Leaders must be at least 21 years old, have a clean driving record, and be in good physical condition. Apply as above.
