ENVIROMENTAL DEFENSE SEEKS OUTREACH COORDINATOR

Environmental Defense, a nonprofit known for its practical approach to environmental protection, seeks a clean energy outreach coordinator for its Houston office. The job recipient will also be an integral part of Environmental Defense’s regional Climate and Air team, based in Austin. He or she will work with government, private industry, grassroots organizations, and others to achieve measurable environmental results. Candidates must have a master’s preferably in energy or environmental policy or management, and at least two years experience in energy policy, environmental management, policy analysis, environmental advocacy, or related fields. They should demonstrate working knowledge of energy efficiency and current issues relating to energy and air quality in Texas. Advocacy skills, organizing experience, and written communication skills are important. Public speaking ability and fluency in Spanish is preferred.
