ENVIRONMENTALISTS URGED TO COMMENT ON REGIONAL TRANSPORTATION PLAN

David Crossley, president of the Gulf Coast Institute, is urging environmentalists to comment on the Houston Galveston Area Council’s 2035 Regional Transportation Plan. Crossley notes that there are many good parts of the plan and says that it is important to express support for the good parts of the plan as well as to note problems so that the Transportation Policy Council knows that the citizens back the work of H-GAC. The Gulf Coast Institute suggests that interested environmentalists and green groups comment on H-GAC’s Environmental Analysis. The entire plan is available online. The last scheduled public hearing is June 20 from 5:30 – 7:30 pm at Baytown Community Center, 2407 Market St, Baytown. The deadline for comments is July 2.
