STUDY GROUP ON REGIONAL TRANSPORTATION PLAN
The Gulf Coast Institute, through the Livable Houston Network, is convening brown bag lunches to discuss transportation issues and their implications. For the first time in Houston history, organizations are working together to evaluate the goals and projects in the Regional Transportation Plan and how they relate to Houston’s environment, economy, and quality of life. Sessions are held on Thursdays from 11 am to 1 pm at the Upper Kirby District Building, 3015 Richmond. On May 24th, the topic will be The Grand Parkway; on May 31st the topic will be Livable Centers and on June 7 the discussion will focus on feedback and recommendations for the Regional Transit Plan. The draft RTP will be released for public comment in early June, so now is the time to organize. For more information, contact Geri Wells at (281) 980-7175 (cell) or geri.wells@gulfcoastinstitute.org.
