BUSY MONTH AT ARMAND BAYOU NATURE CENTER

Fresh Food Market, an organization of local farmers, will sell organic/organic-practice foods at the Armand Bayou Nature Center parking lot on alternate Saturdays, beginning this Saturday, May 12. The market will be open from 10 am – 1 pm. Earlier in the day, at 7, the Houston Audubon Society will be conducting its monthly bird survey. At 8, there will be a guided canoe tour and a breakfast pontoon boat tour. Saturday, May 19, is the Bayou Boil, a fundraiser with crawfish, catfish, beer, wine, auctions, demonstrations of turn-of-the-century crafts, and dancing to the Romeo Dogs. ABNC also has night-time activities such as sunset or moonlight cruises, owl prowls, and hayrides. Many events are suitable for accompanied children. The center is at 8500 Bay Area Blvd, Pasadena.
