LAND TRUST SEEKS EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Natural Area Preservation Association, a land trust organization that owns or manages 80 private nature preserves located throughout Texas, is seeking an executive director. Responsibilities include administrative duties; negotiating land transactions; working with staff to maintain properties, monitor conservation easements, and communicate with preserve owners and donors; and coordinating with government agencies and other groups. Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, ecology, range science, or related field and two to three years’ related experience are required. Knowledge of Texas flora, fauna, landscapes, and land management is needed. Experience managing a nonprofit organization, grant writing, and fundraising is desirable.
