NOW IS BEST TIME TO JOIN, RENEW CEC MEMBERSHIP
The Citizens’ Environmental Coalition is an association of non-profit, educational, governmental, professional, and other organizations that have an interest in environmental issues.
We publish a weekly news update that is e-mailed to more than 9,300 subscribers. Annually, we also publish a durable paperbound resource guide that contains detailed information about our member groups. The guide is distributed to teachers, news media, area elected officials, and other interested parties. In addition to the guide, membership benefits include:
- A link to your web site on the CEC website
- Complete event listings on the CEC website
- Publicity for special events in the Update
- Help wanted postings in the Update and website
- Use of two meeting rooms at 3015 Richmond at no charge.
In January, CEC will begin hosting a series of professional development luncheons for our member groups.
Group membership in CEC is $75 per year. Current members will receive renewal packets by e-mail during the first week in December. Groups within Austin, Brazoria, Chambers, Colorado, Fort Bend, Galveston, Harris, Liberty, Matagorda, Montgomery, Waller, Walker, and Wharton Counties are invited to join. For information or a membership packet, contact Ella Tyler at ella@cechouston.org or call (713) 524-4232.
Sponsorship opportunities for the resource guide are still available. Sponsors allow the CEC to distribute resource guide to more teachers. For $5,000, the sponsor will receive a half page in the guide, a listing on the back cover of the resource guide, recognition on the website and in the news update, and the opportunity to post jobs in the update and on the website. For more information, contact Elise NeeDell at (713) 524-4232 or elise@cechouston.org.
