CITRUS FESTIVAL AT BAYOU CITY FARMERS MARKET

Urban Harvest’s Bayou City Farmers’ Market will host a Citrus Festival on Saturday, Dec 9, and Saturday, Dec 16. The event will celebrate the peak of the citrus season in the Houston area and will offer a chance to taste and purchase freshly picked, locally grown citrus, including oranges, tangerines, grapefruit, satsumas, kumquats, limequats, limes, Meyer lemons, and other unusual citrus varieties. Les Dames d’Escoffier will demonstrate recipes using these citrus fruits and “citrus professors” will be on hand to tell you how to grow your own citrus. The Bayou City Farmers’ Market features locally grown agricultural products, all offered for sale by the people that produced them. It meets every Saturday from 8 am until noon behind the office building at 3000 Richmond, in the Greenway Plaza area.
