TOM STOCK TO SPEAK ON AIR POLLUTION AND HEALTH THURSDAY

The Houston Chapter of the Lone Star Sierra Club will host Thomas Stock, PhD, at its meeting on Thursday, Nov 2, at 7:30 pm. The meeting is at Central Presbyterian Church, 3788 Richmond. Stock was a member of the Mayor’s Task Force on the Health Effects of Air Pollution, which released a report last month. He has been involved in a number of large community studies of exposures to a variety of air pollutants, as well as their health effects. He teaches courses on air pollution and environmental measurements at the UT School of Public Health, Houston. The meeting is free and open to the public.
