BUILDING WATERSHED COMMUNITIES MEETINGS
Galveston Bay Conservation and Preservation Association is hosting two meetings for individuals and groups who are working to improve the resources and quality of Galveston Bay. The meeting will include a round-robin survey of all groups’ goals and activities. There will also be a discussion of using conservation districts as tools to achieve sustainable rivers. Conservation districts are used this way in California and Nebraska. One meeting, to discuss the Trinity and San Jacinto rivers, will be held Thursday, Nov 9, at San Jacinto North College in the Teaching Theater, Interactive Learning Center. The second, focusing on the Brazos River, will be Thursday, Nov 16, at Brazosport College, F142 Main Building. Both meetings are free.
