SYNERGY AWARD RECEPTION TUESDAY EVENING
The Synergy awards ceremony will be Tuesday, Oct 10, at the downtown Crowne Plaza Hotel. There will be music by Moodafaruka (“global groove music with Spanish and Mediterranean rootsâ€) and a silent auction with more than 50 items. Larry Joe Doherty will be the master of ceremonies. The honorees this year are Mary Van Kerrebrook, Katy Prairie Conservancy; Dick Smith, Cypress Creek Flood Control Coalition; Katz Coffee; the ECOS Program (Environment as a Context for Opportunities in Schools), Center for Educational Outreach, Baylor College of Medicine; Steve Hupp, Harris County Pollution Control; Woody Woodrow, Texas Parks and Wildlife; and Mary Ellen Whitworth, Bayou Preservation Association.
