LEVY PARK DEDICATION AND BLESSING OF ANIMALS

The Upper Kirby District has just completed renovating Levy Park behind the building at 3015 Richmond where the CEC offices. A dedication ceremony will be held Saturday, Sept 30, from 9 to 11 am. Mayor White will dedicate the park and Father Bill of St. Anne Catholic Church will bless the animals. Pets must be leashed for the blessing. There will be various pet competitions. The Humane Society will be present to answer questions and facilitate pet adoptions. Renovations include irrigation and drainage improvements, a crushed granite jogging trail, a shaded picnic area, new playground equipment, and a much needed dog park. The community garden will also be open for viewing.
