PRAIRIE LOVERS INVITED TO VOLUNTEER

The Katy Prairie Conservancy invites everyone who wants to learn more about the Katy Prairie and share their love of nature with others to attend a volunteer orientation on Saturday, Sept 16, from 9 am to 1 pm. The orientation will be at the field office on the Katy Prairie. Participants will see the prairie, meet current volunteers, and learn about helping with exciting prairie preservation projects. There is a volunteer task for everyone – from tending native plants in the nursery to leading public tours of the preserves. No experience is necessary and training will be provided.
