INTRODUCING OUR NEW EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

The Citizens Environmental Coalitions new executive director is Elise NeeDell Babcock. She was the founder and president of Cancer Counseling Inc. and led the nonprofit organization for fourteen years, shepherding it from a ten thousand dollar to a million dollar budget. When Elise was president, Cancer Counseling won the MD Anderson Cancer Center VIP award as a partner in the fight against cancer. After leaving Cancer Counseling, she wrote When Life Becomes Precious: For Patients and Family Members Facing a Serious Illness, published by Bantam. A second edition was published recently.

“We are delighted to have Elise join us,” said CEC president Brian Malarky. “She has such a strong background in fundraising, public relations, and events.”

Elise also founded Lexi Communication and traveled across the nation speaking to corporations, medical schools, and medical centers including Yale, Northwestern, and Stanford. Elise has served on numerous boards, including The Nature Conservancy.
