WILDSCAPES WORKSHOP FOR URBAN GARDENERS
The Native Plant Society of Texas is hosting a Wildscapes workshop on Saturday, Sept 9. The workshop will be about landscaping with native plants to attract wildlife to urban gardens. Speakers include Dee Howell, Gloria and John Tveten on butterflies, Diane Cabiness on choosing plants for a wildscape, Chris LaChance on Watersmart landscaping, and Lisa Gonzales on invasive plants. The event is from 8 am to 3 pm at the University of Houston – Central Campus, Cullen College of Engineering, building 1. The workshop fee is $30, which includes lunch.
