HARWOOD TAYLOR EXHIBIT OPENS SATURDAY

An exhibit entitled “Booming Houston & The Modern House: The Residential Architecture Of Neuhaus & Taylor” will be opening on Saturday, Aug 19, 5:30 to 7:30 pm, at the American Institute of Architects, Houston Chapter, 3000 Richmond, suite 500. The exhibition will remain until October 1. A symposium was held Wednesday, Aug 16, at which panelists William F. Stern, Cynthia Rowan Taylor, Ben Koush, and Stephen Fox discussed the significance of the 1940s and 1950s work of the firm.

Cynthia Rowan Taylor, one of CEC’s founders, was once married to Harwood Taylor and took an active role in his architectural career. For additional information, go to the Houston Mod website.
