The Marketing Intern who will take on essential administrative tasks, including writing and/or proofing various documents such as memos/articles/social media posts, research, preparing presentations, and assisting with events. The Membership Intern will take on essential administrative tasks to include: researching national and local membership programs, as well as software programs for membership, philanthropy, and sales. The Volunteer Program Intern will take a lead role in furthering the development of the volunteer program including coordinating volunteer activities, updating orientation materials, organizing safety training protocol, tracking hours, and working alongside volunteers in various activities. Houston Botanic Garden is seeking a Director of Education and Public Programs to advance HBG’s mission through creating and implementing education and mission-driven events, including education classes and seminars, school group field trips, camps, exhibits, fairs and festivals, special exhibits, and performing and visual arts. In consultation with key staff and committee members, the Director will help develop and articulate the strategic vision and priorities for education and public programs as well as creating the annual program plan, calendar, and budget to accomplish the vision.
