Geocaching 101

Title: Geocaching 101
Location: Brazos Bend State Park
Link out: Click here
Description: Come out to Brazos Bend and learn the basic of geocaching!

What is geocaching? It’s a high tech scavenger hunt using a GPS device to find hidden treasure. This relatively new sport can be played almost anywhere and is very family friendly. Meet on the deck of the visitors center at 9am for the introduction and explanation of the activity, but be careful, you’re going to get hooked on a new sport that gets you and your family outside and moving!

An added bonus to this event is that Brazos Bend is the premier spot in Houston for wildlife watching and seeing Alligators in their natural habitat at a safe distance.

A limited number of GPS units will be provided by the park, or bring your own. Bring close toed shoes and long pants to help guard against bug bites and stickers.
