Environmental Education Resources

Houston Environmental Resources for Educators (HERE) website is a one-stop shop for formal and informal educators, Texas Master Naturalists, Scout leaders, boating and wildlife enthusiasts and child care providers that want to teach about our local ecosystems. It includes professional development opportunities, field trip locations, and a directory of local educators. Visit our HERE in Houston Facebook page, too.

Normally, in person, quarterly meetings of the Environmental Educators Exchange are held the first Wednesday of February, May, August and November. Due to the pandemic, our events have moved online and we meet every other Friday at 9:00 a.m. Email Alicia Mein-Johnson for the virtual link. Our goal is to provide a unique space to rejuvenate, network and learn about trends in environmental education in the Gulf Coast region. We strive to work as a team to bring relevant, local programming to our community. These regional meetings are in partnership with the Texas Association for Environmental Education and Texas Children in Nature.
