Faith Climate Action Week @ TBA

Faith Climate Action Week will take place for ten days in April during Earth Month. It will focus on how we can take action to protect our climate.

Celebrations, sermons, service projects, events, and nature walks will be held, all week. Sign up now and be the first to receive information on how to participate!

We will be focusing on ways we can green our facilities and homes, take action locally, and advocate nationally for positive steps towards a sustainable, 100% renewable us energy future. Naturalist Explorers (ages 5-8): Defenders of Planet Earth @ Houston Arboretum & Nature Center

Naturalist Explorers introduces children ages 5 to 8 to environmental and natural history topics in a fun and enthusiastic atmosphere. Classes include a short introduction inside followed by hands‐on, engaging activities outside. Parents are welcome to participate with their child, or drop them off.

This spring, come and learn how to be a Planet Defender! Discover how to make wise choices to help protect and conserve our natural resources. Become superheroes and help save the planet.

Tadpole Troopers (ages 3-5): Animals of the Night @ Houston Arboretum & Nature Center

tadpoleTroopersBannerAs the sun sets a whole new world comes to life. Explore the nighttime world as parents and children learn all about nocturnal animals. Journey down armadillo tunnels, learn how to echo-locate, and meet two of the most amazing Houston mammals as the group ventures into the night and see who’s awake out there. Tadpole Troopers is a nature class and outdoor adventure for parents and children to share together.

Arboretum’s Home School Program (ages 5-12) @ Houston Arboretum & Nature Center
Apr 8 @ 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm

A different three-week science unit is taught each month, with classes consisting of instructional time, hands-on activities, and outdoor activities. Houston Audubon’s Titmouse Club @ Houston Audubon Society

Through stories, hands-on activities, nature walks, and crafts, your children will be inspired with a deeper understanding and appreciation for the natural world around them. Each week’s Titmouse Club lesson features a different nature theme, focusing on Houston-area animals and habitats. Your children will enjoy nature stories and puppets, hands-on biofacts, nature crafts, up-close animal encounters, and a short walk in the woods, all led by volunteer docent teachers.

Science Sprouts (ages 4-5) @ Houston Arboretum & Nature Center

Science Sprouts is an exciting series for curious kids that love nature and science.
