Mark your calendars to attend Nature Night’s “Freaky Frogs” with Eric Duran, Staff Naturalist and Educator at the Nature Discovery Center. Using live animals, specimens, models, and photos, Eric will show visitors the various common frogs of the Houston area, and will talk about their lives and habitats. Visitors will also learn and try to make some local frog calls.
Activities begin with themed crafts and fun snacks at 6:30 pm, followed by a brief nature walk before a 7:00 pm presentation by a kid-friendly speaker. We wrap things up at 8:00pm. Advance registration required.

We’ll get a report from the National CCL Conference and Lobby Day in June, and plan upcoming tabling and lobbying actions.

The Brays Bayou Association meets the third Monday of each month at The Gathering Place. Brays Bayou Association does not currently have a website.

All are welcome to Houston Renewable Energy Group’s monthly meetings! They will have a presentation on an interesting aspect of renewable energy in Houston, review HREG business, progress, and plan events. After the meeting, they usually spend some time socializing and finding out what is happening on the renewable scene in Houston from each other. Monthly Meetings are the best place for members to learn about HREG, ask questions, and provide suggestions.
If you are interested in volunteering or becoming a voting member, attending this meeting would be a great opportunity for you to learn more about what HREG does and how you can help. For more information, contact HREG.

The workshop will provide an opportunity for dialogue to promote effective engagement. They encourage community members and organizations familiar with Gulf restoration, and those that want to get involved, to attend.
