Ceil Dow, their local ginger expert, will be onsite to answer all of your questions and share her knowledge about growing gingers in your garden. Ceil has specialized and worked with gingers at the Mercer Botanic Gardens for many years and is a 24 year Harris County Master Gardener. There will be rare, exotic and easy to grow gingers for you to explore as additions for your shady, sunny or even wet garden. She will also be on site from 10:00 am till 1:00 pm.

Group Lead Bob Jones will discuss items of interest, plus show a recorded video from the CCL National Call from Saturday July 14th. ​The National call will include initial feedback from the June 2018 International Conference in Washington, DC.​
The monthly speaker will be Adele Morris from the Brookings Institution.  She is a senior fellow and policy director for Climate and Energy Economics, and is a leading global expert on the design of carbon pricing policies.​

Monthly Meetings are the best place for members to learn about HREG, ask questions, and provide suggestions.

Public Meeting: H-GAC Regional Safety Plan.

To communicate with residents and partner organizations about the plan’s specific safety strategies and goals.

H-GAC, in collaboration with regional stakeholders, is developing a Regional Safety Plan (RSP) to provide a framework for addressing the most prominent traffic safety issues in the region.
The plan requires continual collaboration and cooperation between numerous jurisdictions and agencies in the greater Houston-Galveston region and a commitment to making safety an upmost priority.
