Hosted by Discovery Green Conservancy in partnership with Citizens’ Environmental Coalition, and sponsored by Green Mountain Energy, this year’s Earth Day event will be on Apr. 14, from noon to 5 p.m. Featuring exhibits, bands, food, speakers, and more, the 2019 celebration supports Discovery Green’s mission of providing free events that promote a healthy environment and sustainable operations.
Exhibitor space is limited. Early registration ends on Feb. 14. Registration prices will increase on Feb. 15. Exhibitor registration closes on Mar. 14.
Join Buffalo Bayou Partnership for Texas’ largest canoe and kayak race – the 47th Annual Buffalo Bayou Partnership Regatta on March 9th. Paddlers, ages 12 and up, are encouraged to participate in the 15-mile race along the scenic Buffalo Bayou. Whether you are entering competitively or paddling for pleasure, you won’t want to miss out on this longstanding Houston tradition.

This annual event raises funds and awareness to implement the proposed 27.5 mile paddle trail. Register by September 26th for this exciting race and experience some of Houston’s hidden natural areas!  Please join the group for a morning of trail maintenance helping the Friends of Woodland Park revitalize, weed, and mulch the wooded trail entrance! This event is hosted the by Friends of Woodland Park and supported by Parks Project.
You Bring: Sturdy closed-toe shoes, clothing appropriate to the weather (long pants and sleeves), refillable water bottle, sunscreen, bug spray, hat, and work gloves (if you have them).
Parks Project Provides:Â Snacks, water, and Parks Project swag for volunteers!
Following the trail work, come over to the Spring Street Beer and Wine Garden (weather pending) for a chance to socialize and relax after a morning of hard and fulfilling work.
