Wellness Walk at Buffalo Bayou Park @ The Water Works

Join Buffalo Bayou Partnership on a Wellness Walk led by Laura Conely, founder of Urban Paths Wellness Coaching. Anyone and everyone is invited to walk through the paths of Buffalo Bayou Park while discussing topics including mental and physical health as well as the benefits of being exposed to nature. Walks depart at 9 am and cover 3 miles in 1.5 hours.

EPA San Jacinto River Waste Pits public meeting @ The Highlands Community Center

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), in cooperation with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ), federal, state and Harris County agencies, local officials and industry, invites area community members and stakeholders to attend the community meeting for the San Jacinto River Waste Pits Superfund site.

This meeting will provide the opportunity to ask questions about site activities, the remedial design, the selected remedy, and the remediation process.

The meeting is being held in a fully accessible facility. For specific needs or questions about the facility, please contact EPA Community Involvement Coordinator, Janetta Coats, at 1-800-533-3508 (toll-free).
