Join Bayou Land Conservancy as they host the Wild & Scenic Film Festival on Tour, an evening of beautiful and inspirational films that highlight our natural environment on Thursday, August 17, 2017, from 6:00 to 10:00 PM. The selected films will cover a variety of environmental topics and offer spectacular scenery, breathtaking journeys, and stories of human connections. They hope the evening will inspire you to join BLC in their mission to preserve land along streams for flood control, clean water, and wildlife. Continuing our wildly successful 2017 showing, the Citizens’ Environmental Coalition is proud to bring the Wild & Scenic Film Festival on Tour, one of the largest environmental film festivals in North America, back to Houston for two nights: January 24 & 25, 2018!
We invite you to join us at the 2018 W&SFF On Tour to be held at the historic River Oaks Theatre, where up to 450 patrons each night will enjoy about ten short films each night highlighting the latest environmental issues. We selected films that showcase the links between beauty, environment, adventure, quality of life, and action.
By showing these films, CEC is working to connect individuals and organizations to create a stronger Gulf Coast environmental community.

Join us for Texas’ largest canoe and kayak race – the 46th Annual Buffalo Bayou Partnership Regatta on March 10th! Paddlers, ages 12 and up, are encouraged to participate in the 15-mile race along the scenic Buffalo Bayou. The Buffalo Bayou Partnership Regatta is rain or shine. If cancellation does take place due to severe water or weather conditions, all entry fees will support the work of Buffalo Bayou Partnership. Note that there are no refunds given for Buffalo Bayou Partnership Regatta registration fees.
Greens Bayou Coalition is hosting its 3rd Annual Regatta along a 7.5-mile stretch of Greens Bayou on Saturday, October 13, 2018. The purpose of the event is to combine recreation, stewardship and education along Greens Bayou, as well as raise funds to continue development of a 27.5-mile paddle trail. The event will showcase two proposed launch locations, Brock Park and Thomas Bell Foster Park. For more information, and to register, visit greensbayouregatta.rallybound.org.
