Galveston County Plant Swap @ NASA Gilruth Center
Apr 22 @ 8:00 am – 12:00 pm

Seventeen years ago, Mary Ellen Beaupre contacted me at the Chronicle asking for some publicity on a “Plant Swap.” Over the years, I’ve watched this swap grow into the major event it is today.  Best of all, Mary Ellen was always happy to let me share her expertise and undoubtedly has been a major help to so many of our now thriving plant swaps. Certainly folks have been swapping plants for eons. But organizing one successful enough to last all these years takes a lot of planning and volunteer hours. So a tip o’ the trowel to this group and I’m thrilled to have Mary Ellen’s observations below.
