GULF COAST GREEN 2010: Reframing our Built Environment
FREE!! Gulf Coast Green is pleased to offer the final keynote of GCG 2010 Symposium and Expo, this Friday April 16th at 12:45, Hilton at University of Houston, main campus. Please attend the free closing keynote session presented by Chris Allen of the Biomimicry Institute and stay for the free professional expo, open until 4pm.
GCG Expo is free and open to the public Thursday 7am to 7pm and and Friday 7am to 4pm. Parking is available in the Welcome Center garage across from the Hilton. Take 45 South to Spur 5, turn right on University, Welcome Center is at the intersection of Calhoun and University. Additional directions found here.
The Business of Green. Speakers in this track will explore economic opportunities in the sustainability movement. Topics may include job creation, the marketing of green building products and services, and return on investment for green strategies.
Renovating the Future. Upgrades to existing buildings and interiors are especially critical to reducing the carbon footprint of our industry. Speakers in this track will discuss strategies that work for health, energy savings, material resources, and economic payback.
Geography of Change. Project location and site design have become more critical than ever with changes to LEED and to local ordinances. Speakers in this track will address land analysis, planning, design, management, preservation, and rehabilitation for the health of people and ecosystems.
