ART AND THE ENVIRONMENT

Float the Boat, Artist Boat’s annual fundraiser, will be Saturday, March 1, from 6 to 9 pm in the Nic Noblique Warehouse Studio, 2527 Mechanic #A, in Galveston. There will be a silent auction of works by Galveston and Houston artists and gift items, and a raffle of a hand-built, 14-foot Pygmy Arctic Tern wooden kayak. The Texas Nature Project will host a silent auction of original art by Texas artists inspired by Texas nature and wildlife on Friday, March 7th. The event is from 7 to 10 pm, at the University of St. Thomas in Scanlan Room, at the Jerabeck Activity and Athletic Center, 4000 Mt. Vernon.
