TAKE THAT, YOU TALLOW TREE
The Park People and Rice University students will be working side by side Saturday, August 25 to control non-native vegetation that threatens habitat restoration at Tony Marron Park, 808 North York. The project, which continues TPP’s mission of restoring and preserving parks and natural areas, is part of Rice’s Outreach Day program. Members of the Park People will guide volunteers on how to recognize common invasives, and the best methods for removing them. The event, from 9 to 11:30 am, is also open to others interested in native habitat management.
