Designing Bountiful Gardens is one of five modules, and is open to anyone who has completed the prerequisite classes of Sustainable Living 1 and 2. Knowledge of gardening is not assumed. Bountiful Gardens is now offered as a package, so that the classes may be taken individually or purchased together at a discount. This module is over 6 Sundays totaling 31.5 class hours. Pre-registration is required. Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits are available.
Price for the package of six classes: Members $286; Non-members $404, includes materials and lunches at Animal Farm. You will want to bring a lunch to the classes at the University of Houston. Excellent lunches are provided in the Nov. 6 and 13 classes at Animal Farm.
Class 2 – Design for Soil, Water and Animals: Bountiful gardens depend on bountiful soil. This class focuses on how earth slope, soil, animals and plants interact to produce bounty. The science of this is explained so that anyone can understand it.
There are no refunds on classes.
