Description: The Clean Air Through Energy Efficiency (CATEE) Conference is a premiere educational conference and business expo connecting public and private decision makers and thought leaders. CATEE has grown to be a valuable forum to help communities improve decisions that determine the energy and water intensity of the built environment – and reduce related emissions.

CATEE 2012 will be held October 9-11, 2012 in Galveston, Texas at the Hotel Galvez. Texas led action by the states on air quality with legislation in 2001 creating building sector energy efficiency initiatives to reduce emissions. These included adopting energy codes, encouraging above code building performance, and requiring state agencies and political subdivisions to set cost-effective examples by reducing consumption each year.
