What to bring: Your digital camera, flash, tripod, a fresh battery and memory card.
Students not completely familiar with their camera controls should bring their
user’s manual.

Introduction to Basic Nature Photography

This class is aimed at beginners with a desire to explore nature with their digital
camera. The camera that you use is not as important as the method. Emphasis will be
on technique as well as tips and tricks to get the subject in front of the lens.
Basic camera equipment can either be an advanced “point and shoot” camera with a
zoom/macro lens and user settable aperture (Av) and shutter speed (Tv)controls or a
digital SLR camera with interchangeable lenses that might include a macro, zoom and
telephoto lenses.
