Houston BCycle seeks Customer Service Representative

Houston Bike Share is seeking a Customer Service Representative for a part-time position. The position will be responsible for addressing Houston BCycle customers’ issues while working a flexible schedule. As the first person that a new rider speaks to on the phone, you will be responsible for representing Houston BCycle in a professional and friendly manner. Duties will include: answering calls, returning voicemails and emails; keeping calm when answering disgruntled riders; sharing important feedback and action items with the rest of the HBS team; working a flexible schedule based on demand; carrying out tasks within the BCycle online software; and assisting with refunds or rental issues.

In addition to a love of cycling, the successful candidate will have: customer service skills (one year of experience preferred); strong communication skills, both written and oral; a can-do attitude with strong organizational skills and attention to detail; self-starter and a team player with a positive attitude; and a willingness to pitch in on various projects as needed for the success of the program.

Work schedule is 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday to Monday. Thirty max hours per week with occasional other days of the week. Hourly pay of $12 per hour.
