As an environmental organization, something people consistently ask us is “what can I do in my own life to help make a difference?” There is, of course, a long list of things that all of us can do to protect the planet. But all too often, well-intentioned people are directed toward personal choices such as recycling, conserving water, driving less, or purchasing “greener” products. These are excellent steps that we should all take—but if that’s all we do, we’ll never solve the problem.

Changing our own behavior is only one piece of the puzzle. Another big piece is changing government and corporate policies: Changing our environmental laws and the behavior of large companies. That’s exactly the focus of a new short web film called “Story of Change,” produced by the same team that created “Story of Stuff”.
