Description: In celebration of World Water Day, the Galveston Bay Foundation, Texas Coastal
Watershed Program and Coffee Oasis have teamed up to create a fun event for your
whole family! Every year people from all over the world come together to focus their
attention on and celebrate the importance of our invaluable water resources. The
theme for this year is water and food security, which is fitting considering the
drought Texas is experiencing, as well as pollutants that are present in our
waterways that impact our seafood industry. Join us for a cup of coffee, intriguing
conversations, live music, raffle drawings, kid-friendly activities (big kids
included!) and information on how you can team up with us to preserve, protect and
enhance our water resources. Our special feature this year is a community awareness
art project, led by local artist Lisa Reznicek, that you can take part in to express
what water means to you. Help us get the word out about this event by posting or
