Description: The members of the Texas Education Center (TEC) are proud to
present the Texas Education Center Summit: Advancing Quality,
Innovation, and Collaboration in Our Schools. This day-long summit
brings together outstanding leaders in the field of education,
including:

Dr. Wanda Bamberg, Superintendent, Aldine ISD
Dr. Terry Grier, Superintendent, Houston ISD
Rick Noriega, President and CEO, AVANCE

The TEC is a coalition of eleven high-performing local non-profit
organizations with an interest in education issues. The mission of the
TEC is to facilitate reform of the public education system by
encouraging greater collaboration and communication amongst
education-focused non-profits. TEC members are committed to improving
public education by advancing goals in line with the TEC’s core beliefs: quality,
innovation, and collaboration. This year’s summit seeks to engage parents, school
district employees, and community members in a discussion of each of these three
areas in order to promote reform and excellence in our public schools.
