Coalition Notes 11-03-2010

  1. State of the Prairie Conference. The State of the Prairie Conference is November 4th and 5th at the Brown Education Center at the Houston Zoo.   2. 2010 Clean Air Forum. On November 4th, the Clean Air Forum will cover the status of Houston’s air quality while allowing participants to share their concerns with community leaders and experts. It is open to the public and will be a free, fun, and interactive evening. Free transportation is available to and from the forum from the Alvin Baggett Community Center in Galena Park (1302 Keene Street).   3. Clean Up & Tree Planting. Greens Bayou Corridor Coalition is putting together a Clean Up & Tree Planting on November 6th. Volunteers are encouraged to come out to Greens Bayou for three hours in the morning to plant trees and pick up trash.   4. Bioneers Fall Harvest Day in the Park. Bioneers Fall Harvest Day in the Park is on Saturday, November 6th at Discovery Green Park.  It will be a fun and interactive day with a focus on practical and visionary solutions for developing sustainable organizations, reducing our ecological footprint, and healing our human communities.
