Description: Join us on Sunday, June 13th for an inspiring tour of three farms represented at the Urban Harvest Farmer’s Market. This tour will include visits to a certified organic farm, a chicken farm and a goat dairy farm. See where your food comes from, how it is processed and prepared for sale at the market. Proceeds go to Urban Harvest programs. Transportation not included.

Schedule for the day:

10 am – noon: Animal Farm: vegetables, fruits, chickens, sustainable structures

12 pm -1 pm: Sack lunch at Animal Farm Permaculture Center

2 pm: Oaks of Mamre: Free Range chickens for eggs and meat production, baby chicks

3:45 pm: Swede Farm Dairy: Observe cheese and milk production, baby goats.

5 pm: Depart for Houston

$70 ($45 for Urban Harvest), all kids, 18 and under, are free
