HUG member Christine Povinelli will talk about edible plants that grow like weeds. At our December ’09 meeting Christine mentioned that she grows several vegetables that grow so easily they are considered by others to be weeds. We all wanted to know more! Christine will highlight vegetables that thrive in our Houston heat-wilting summers. She’ll have some pictures, and she’s thinking of bringing some seeds or possibly a few transplants.

Our meetings remain FREE. We will again have the popular coffee machine that brews a fresh cup of coffee or tea. We’ll have iced tea and
some chocolate mint tea. And we’ll have some snacks. So come on down, learn about easy-to-grow veggies, and have a relaxed chat with some like-minded people from your neighborhood.
